RPC Towers hasn’t just been mothballed over the past 3 months while we’ve all been working from home. We took the opportunity to have a deep clean and give the offices a lick of paint. We’ve also put in place some new measures to help to keep us all safe and are proud to say that we are fully Covid-secure and able to welcome back delegates into our training rooms.
Director Peter Gable takes you on a tour of the building in his welcome back video below, but here’s a run-down of what you can expect when you come to visit us here – including the breath-taking views across to Otley Chevin!
As soon as you arrive, you’ll be able to help yourself to your own bottle of hand sanitiser from the basket just inside the door. This will be yours to use and keep. We’ve chosen a brand that is World Health Organisation approved against viruses and bacteria.
We’re all getting used to seeing notices everywhere reminding us about handwashing and hygiene, and it’s no different here. Please help us to keep everyone safe and keep the offices open by being careful to follow the guidelines shown on posters around the office and explained to you by our staff.
We’re fortunate to have spacious training rooms, where delegates were never squashed close together, so we were already well spaced for social distancing guidelines, allowing 2m between you and the people around you. Where we can, without breaking fire regulations, we’ll be propping doors open to avoid unnecessary contact with door handles but will be wiping door handles regularly nonetheless.
You’ll find wipes and surface cleaners in the training rooms and buckets for the used wipes. In line with HSE guidance, all surfaces that are frequently touched and by many people (door handles, stair handrails etc) and any shared equipment will be routinely cleaned throughout the day. When you are on a course with us, you will use the same PC throughout to eliminate sharing, and all equipment will be disinfected between courses. All areas within the office will be regularly cleaned throughout the day and deep-cleaned weekly by a professional cleaning firm.
Our staff are all still busy working, but they’re doing it from home wherever possible in order to keep the numbers of people in the offices to a minimum.
Our breakout rooms are still really important to allow training delegates a mental break between sessions and somewhere comfortable to have lunch. We will be staggering break times when the office is busy to limit the numbers in the breakout rooms at any one time and you’ll find all the same cleaning regimes in place, keeping chairs and surfaces clean and sanitised, and antibacterial wipes available for all to use as and when they wish.
We’ve worked hard to make the offices safe, but without compromising on our heart-felt Yorkshire welcome. You’ll see our Covid-secure certificates and risk assessments displayed in the office, and we don’t share our office space or communal areas with anyone else.
