Overview
Even simple projects might require more than one piece of enterprise project management software to plan, schedule, track and manage all aspects of the job. To eliminate information being held in separate silos, causing clumsy and difficult data transfer and collaboration, RPC can help you to configure an integration solution, using Oracle Gateway in conjunction with one of several pre-built Oracle and third-party options, or plug-ins. These include, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle PeopleSoft Projects (ESA) and SAP. For more complex integration needs, Oracle Integration Cloud Service offers a fully customisable solution.
Oracle Primavera Gateway Integration Solution
Gateway creates a connected product set capable of sending data between a raft of Oracle Primavera solutions and other Oracle and third-party applications. The providers within Gateway that plug in to P6, Unifier and other applications are pre-built for ease of deployment, although transformations and modifications can be made to the default functions. Gateway can be implemented both on-premise and in the cloud (Oracle and non-Oracle), where it will enable you to optimise resource usage and improve data consistency between applications. Using Gateway, you can transfer information from Oracle Primavera P6 to Oracle Primavera Unifier and back again, making sure that both data sets are synchronised and eliminating the potential for error and confusion.
Oracle Integration Cloud Service
The functions in Oracle Integration Cloud Service are tailor made for each specific deployment, rather than being pre-built and designed for universal application. This bespoke approach to deployment takes longer to build and configure than a Gateway implementation, but as a result, the possibilities are endless. The tool can connect a vast array of applications and technologies, using pre-built and certified connectors as well as customised, bespoke commands, pulling down multiple objects from multiple sources, collating them, concatenating them, transforming them and more, before transferring the data to the next stage of the process, as required.
