Getting To Know You - Nick Woodrow

Industry Insight - 06 Feb 2026

We’re thrilled to welcome Nick Woodrow as RPC’s new Operations Director, stepping into the role as our much‑loved Tina Johnson prepares for her well‑earned retirement in March. With a career rooted in civil engineering and over 15 years spent driving digital innovation in construction technology, Nick brings a down‑to‑earth, people‑first approach and a real passion for helping teams deliver their best work. He’s focused on building the foundations for RPC’s next 20 years while honouring the legacy Tina leaves behind. Outside of work, Nick is a devoted dad, football coach and travel enthusiast, bringing the same energy, humour and wholehearted commitment to family life as he does to his new role with us.

Where are you based?

I'm based in Wirral.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I was born in London and spent most of my childhood growing up in Buckinghamshire. After that, I decided to explore a bit more of the world and ended up spending six years living in Australia. When I eventually returned to the UK, I moved back to London for a while before making my way up to the North West.

How has your career path brought you to RPC?

I’m a chartered civil engineer and have spent my entire career in construction and engineering. Over the past 15 years, I’ve focused specifically on construction technology, seeing firsthand how effective software solutions can transform project outcomes. I’m genuinely passionate about using simple, practical digital tools to help project professionals deliver better results for everyone involved.

What attracted you to RPC?

I was attracted to RPC because it genuinely shares the same passion that drives me.

What are you working on right now?

RPC is an incredible, family founded business that has diversified and scaled its expertise and impact over the past 20 years. Right now, I’m focused on building the foundations for the next 20 years - creating the conditions for everyone at RPC to do their best work in partnership with our clients.

What do you like best about your job?

What I like best about my job is that it brings together operational impact, digital solutions, and the engineering industry I know and love. And, of course, the people are pretty decent too!

What do you do in your spare time?

I spend most of my spare time with my young family. I’ve got a 9  and 7 year old who are just as obsessed with football and sport as I am. I coach my daughter’s football team, and we also try to make time to travel together as a family. Our next trip is to Naples, Bari, Dubrovnik and Split.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Paul Gascoigne.

What's the best piece of advice you've been given?

Hard work puts you where good luck can find you.

What's on your desk?

No paper!

How do you like your tea?

Strong and from Yorkshire.

Dog or cat?

Neither, I have enough logistics to deal with in my house.

If your house was on fire, what 3 things would you save?

Assuming my wife and children were safe, I wouldn't be bothered about anything else.

What would you superpower be?

Delivering instant karma.
