After more than 17 years of steering the ship, RPC’s Operations Director, Training Coordinator, Office Manager and all-round lynchpin – Tina Johnson – has decided the time is approaching to step away from RPC and to retire. This decision left us with more than one very big hole to fill, but we are delighted to announce that Phase One of this project is complete with the appointment of Nick Woodrow as our new Operations Director.
Nick has been working alongside Tina and the rest of the Directors Team for a few months now, helping us to formulate an exit plan for Tina that will capture all the many thousands of daily tasks and critical processes that fall within her remit – and from that point to rationalise, scrutinise and modernise to help us to take RPC into the future. From 3 November, he comes on board as an official employee and member of the Operational Board of Directors, allowing Tina to move into the role of Training Manager as she continues to support Nick in taking over the Operational helm.
Nick has a long history of managing Operations in growing software companies like ours and a strong background in construction and NEC contracts that align well with much of our core business. He brings clarity, a fresh perspective and unbounded energy and enthusiasm that are already reaping benefits within the business with small but powerful changes that will support our vision for growth as RPC moves forward.
As COO at CEMAR, Nick was instrumental in scaling the business during a period of rapid growth and acquisition. He has a wealth of expertise in infrastructure project delivery across the UK and internationally, with deep construction technology, NEC contract knowhow and hands-on site experience.
Turning complexity into clarity and clarity into action is his strength and also what we do best, and we are excited to have him on the team at RPC.
