Sharing our Knowledge and Experience: RPC at PCE Virtual 2021

Latest News - 09 Sep 2021

Meeting customers old and new and networking with colleagues across the Project Controls industry is always a pleasure at Project Controls Expo and we’ve been proud to play a role as Platinum Sponsor at the event – both in person and last year’s virtual debut – for the past few years. But the opportunity to speak at events such as this and to share our knowledge and experiences is rewarding and exciting, and we’re delighted to doing this again this year.

Project Controls Expo is the world’s largest project controls event and is dedicated to the advancement of and raising awareness of the processes, tools and techniques used in the industry. We’re perfectly placed to support this aim, with our core focus on offering solutions to our clients’ project controls challenges, using the Oracle Primavera toolset.

Oracle: Driving innovation with Partners

RPC was one of the first of Oracle’s UK partners to join the modernised PartnerNetwork scheme in early 2020. We’re very proud of our strong relationship with Oracle and the Partner model is one that benefits us both. Individual partners can bring specialist skill sets to enhance the standard Oracle tools, and Oracle can offer market-leading technology, security and reliable infrastructure to support their partners in developing innovative products and processes.

In the Innovation Zone at 11:00BST on 15th September, RPC’s Chris Woodbridge and Oracle’s Steve Cooper will be discussing this culture of innovation and delving into the ground-breaking Oracle Primavera Unifier Solution Sets developed by RPC and particularly the new NEC4 Unifier Solution for Contract Management, which makes it easy for clients to administer and manage projects under the NEC suite of contracts and to ensure their compliance with the complex and extensive NEC4 Contract requirements and timescales.

It’s an out-of-the-box solution, pre-built with all the pro-formas, workflows and times to respond that you would expect, but with some innovative and really powerful added benefits, such as native integration with Oracle Primavera P6.

The presentation looks set to be a fascinating insight into how Oracle and their partners work together and how RPC are pushing forward some really exciting new industry developments. Don’t miss it.

Solar Energy powered by the Cloud

At RPC, we like to think that whatever the job – whether it’s a complex integration or delivering training – what we are doing for our customers is shaping and supplying the solution they need. So the Case Studies Zone is the obvious place to find Peter Gable, discussing how we developed one of our latest project solutions for Alternus Energy.

Alternus is a fast-growing, pan-European Independent Power Producer. They own and operate solar parks across Europe and have recently started to develop and construct projects after acquiring a majority share in solar developer, Unisun and their Operations and Maintenance (O&M) company Uper. To support this growth, they needed a project controls solution that offered ease of use and 24/7 access, as, in Chief Information Officer Larry Farrell’s words, ‘there’s always someone wide awake working somewhere!’.

At 13:00BST on Thursday 16th September, Larry and Pete discuss how they identified Oracle Primavera Cloud Services as the solution that best met the Alternus needs and how the implementation, which is still in its early days, is already reaping benefits in the business.

Oracle Primavera Cloud Services is perhaps less well-known than Primavera P6, but it’s an extremely versatile project controls solution and one that RPC’s Peter Gable sees growing fast. If you aren’t familiar with OPC, join the session to find out more.
