We are delighted to announce that RPC has retained our Cyber Essentials Plus certification for another year.
Achieving the Cyber Essentials Plus certificate involves a rigorous process of testing and security checks and is an impressive endorsement of the work that our technical support team does in ensuring that all our data – and, crucially, our clients’ data – is held securely at all times.
The assessment process includes scrutiny of our computers and their configuration, our controls over data access, malware and virus protection, security firewalls between the internet and our own network, and our management of security updates. This includes all company devices that can access company data and preparing for and facilitating the inspection has been a major project for Technology Manager, Chris Callaghan, and the rest of the Support team.
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed certification scheme administered by the National Cyber Security Centre and is a mark that an organisation is protected against the most common cyber threats.
Holding this accreditation is essential to much of the consulting work that we do and to the Hosting services that we provide, so it is really key to our business – particularly within the high-security government, defence and nuclear sectors we work in. It shows our commitment to security and compliance.
Approximately half of all the businesses in the UK have been affected by cyber crime in the past 12 months, but our Cyber Essentials Plus certificate provides reassurance to our current and prospective clients that RPC is a safe partner with whom to do business.
We’re proud to be trusted by so many clients to take care of their critical data and the Cyber Essentials Plus badge is an important reflection of how seriously we take matters of data security and integrity.
