Working in Sales, Chris Woodbridge is used to getting around, but it's not usually on two wheels. He took to the saddle recently – all for a very good cause.
As a keen cyclist, Chris was quick to join his friend and neighbour, Neil, when he suggested a charity ride from London to Brighton in celebration of Neil's five year anniversary of 'kicking cancer'. As a team of four, the 'Cotswold Gators' joined the official London to Brighton Cycle Ride on 10th September – the fifth event in Neil's punishing list of challenges this year, all raising money for Lymphoma Action.
"The ride was around 56 miles from Clapham Common to Brighton," Chris said. "We set off at 6.30am in foggy conditions, but after tackling Ditchling Beacon the sun came out, giving us a fantastic view of the coast. We rewarded ourselves with an ice cream before a downhill sprint to Brighton Beach."
The team finished together in an official time of 4hours and 36 minutes.
