Changes to our Sales Team – Hello and Farewell

The whole RPC team was very sad, at the end of March, to bid a fond farewell to John Shoemaker, as he left us after six years in favour of a retirement of travel, holding his head in his hands as Spurs continue to flatter to deceive and, most importantly, doing whatever Megan tells him. 

RPC is a people business and John was an intrinsic part of the RPC fabric. He is too humble to realise just how much he contributed to upholding and strengthening our core values of quality, professionalism, integrity, flexibility, customer focus and friendliness and in helping to shape RPC’s persona. He won’t mind being described as ‘old school’, as an ultimate compliment. John was a highly valued colleague and remains a warm and humorous character – and friend. RPC will be the poorer without him.

However, John leaving us does open the door for a new member of the RPC Family, and we are delighted to welcome Alex Chewins to the RPC Sales Team, where he will be working alongside Chris Woodbridge to pursue opportunities, particularly within our growth areas of Hosting, NEC4 Contract Management and Oracle Primavera Cloud Service licences and training. 

Alex comes to us with nearly 10 years of experience in software, encompassing project controls software in the oil and gas, and energy sectors, contract management software for NEC3 and 4 in the construction arena, and online NEC training solutions. His first foray into software came when he sold his own property management business and joined Zoopla to sell their software brands. 

“Alex and I have worked together before,” says Chris, “and we’re looking forward to working together again. I’m confident that our clients will really benefit from his skills and the customer-centric approach he brings to the team.” 

Alex lives in Portishead, in the South West, where he enjoys good food and drinks with friends, and endures the necessary gym sessions to offset the indulgence. He has recently re-kindled a love of golf, which we very much hope is not in preparation for his own retirement plans!

We welcome Alex to RPC and are thrilled to have him on board.
